So, the stock market is hitting historical lows, the Dow Jones is down over 700 points for the 2nd time ever, LA homes are being destroyed by wildfires, Marcia Brady comes out about having ‘traded’ sex for drugs, Madonna gets a divorce, and the final Presidential debate is tonight.  PHEW.  What a day.

We’re told how tough times are.  Pumped with a lot of things.  A lot of fear.  A lot of uncertainty.  A lot of ignorance.  A lot of pain.  Confusion.  All you have to do is turn on the 6 o’clock news for the latest catastrophic event you should be terrified about.  And which story you get depends entirely on what television station is pumped into your house.  Fox or CNN or NBC or MSNBC or whoever fuck else, telling you and your families what to believe.  Telling you and families how ‘times are tough’, as if you or your parents weren’t already feeling the crunch.

There are a couple things to say about that here…  Are we in “All problems, no solutions” territory?  What do you when it feels like you have no control over the world around you?  Get informed, and try and make a difference?  Try and distract yourself until it blows over?  I ask myself the same things….  The answers are never obvious.  Personally, I surround myself with people that make me happy.  I try and stay busy and creative.  Art and expression are some of the many keys to happiness.  Or least its on the same map.  

I am trying to find the answers everyday, just like you.  I’m more like you than you realize.

That might be enough venting for the time being.
